Name of game? Elegant Sea Horse
Made by? Snails Animation and published by Games2Girls.com
Composer? Thomas Hughes
Release date? 2010
Where to play? Flashpoint Archive (labeled as 'Elegant SeaHorse' on there)

A cute little game where you can decorate and dress up your own sea horse! Though simple, the customization is decent and gives a few options to choose from from each category. Options are always under 10 though, so you can't go super crazy with freedom. You can change your sea horse's color, pattern, eye color, back-spikes shape, and fins. There's also some options for clothing and accessories like hats, necklaces, even lipstick! And the background can be changed too, but only to 3 options. Also much like other old Flash games of this nature, it gives you an option to print your design at the end.

Here's my sea horse! I decided to make him a drag queen. I wanted to do a whole black and red color scheme but not every outfit had those colors so, I guess its black red and purple!

MORE INFO

Info on this game is kind of scarce. It originally was hosted on the Games2Girls.com website (though it seems to be gone now). It is still listed on Snail Animation's website (though due to Flash dying its not playable on there anymore). What I'm most interested in is the composer. I couldn't find any info online about 'Thomas Hughes' or any of his other work. There is a guy on Youtube under that name who does produce music but it sounds nothing like the song in game so I'm unsure if its the same Thomas. I did shoot Snails Animation an email to see if they know any more info on Thomas or his other works. It seems they haven't been active since around 2017, but here's to hoping they do get back to me!

Oh, also! If you'd like to give the music in game a listen I uploaded it to my Youtube channel! :)

REVIEW

2/5 stars

Overall, its pretty alright. I like it a lot for nostalgic reasons since I played this game quite a bit as a child. I actually discovered it through this old site that would repost games called oyunlar1 or OY1, not on Games2Girls.com. It is pretty bare bones though, and the customization is quite limited. The artstyle is cute though, and I really love the music in the game. I'd recommend it if you want just a simple cute little dress up game to spend a few minutes on.
